Re: Deploystudio won't start

1. Did you walk through the DeployStudio Assistant's server configuration after the DeployStudio server upgrade?
2. Did you reenter the connection credentials therein?
3. Have you tried unsharing/resharing your repository

Perform these in the order presented?

Re: Deploystudio won't start

How totally useless answer:

1. Did you walk through the DeployStudio Assistant's server configuration after the DeployStudio server upgrade?

If the service does NOT start, then it will never run on 60443, hence there is NO WAY to connect to something that does not exist!

Have the very same after upgrade to 10.11.6

Error is produced after running

launchctl load /Library/LaunchDaemons/com.deploystudio.server.plist

Re: Deploystudio won't start

The ONLY way I can get it running, is as a Console Application

mini:~ admin$ sudo "/Applications/Utilities/DeployStudio Admin.app/Contents/sbin/DeployStudioServer"

keychain authentication pops up, I can fill username/password & DS server does start

But even it starts I can NEVER login to Asasistant, as I get constantly Keychain popup: OS X wants to make changes...

and in the end I get same error anyway:

Re: Deploystudio won't start

I was having the same issue:

>> DeployStudioServer[5223:47133] CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9806)

I noticed this either after updating to 10.11.6, the security update that came up after, or Server.app 5.2, I couldn't say which, but I think one of the latter.

When I launched the server manually, I was getting the authorisation prompts as mentioned above.

I had uninstalled and re-installed Deploy Studio, and the issue didn't recur until I re-set up the server. (What I mean is that with a clean install, Deploy Studio started successfully, it wasn't until I configured the server that it once again failed to start.)

I tracked down the issue to access permissions on the private key for the certificate I was using, i.e. I wasn't using the built-in deploy studio certificate and key.

Adding DeployStudioServer to the list of authorised applications for the private key in System.keychain then restarting the service resolved the issue.

I also renewed the certificate so it wasn't expired, this may have helped too.

Re: Deploystudio won't start

you just need to delete the keychains that are named with deploystudio, then restart your server app and deploystudio preference pane... a uninstall and reinstall wouldn't hurt either..
