Re: Future of DeployStudio??

Yes thanks for the update on progress. This particular OS upgrade is causing a fair bit of problems for me, at least, in the Enterprise in other ways too. Hopefully the community (we) will test the builds and provide decent feedback.

@tungates at one time nightly builds were available from http://www.deploystudio.com/Nightly/Nightly.html but not at the moment.

v1.6.17 includes preliminary 10.11 support (NetInstall + external disk creation).
Feedbacks are welcome.

Re: Future of DeployStudio??

Works a treat!
So far, created netboot set per usual.
Netbooted successfully.
Launched DeployStudio Admin to edit workflow.
Started workflow to apply base configs to image master volume.

Only odd bit is cosmetic. I set the default netboot background image and it loads successfully, but the log window is opaque so the lovely DeployStudio image completely disappears. Not really a problem, but just sayin'.

Post-workflow reboot results in the log window overlay with the lovely DeployStudio image showing through. :)

Thanks again for posting the info and the new .17 build is working fine.
It's good to know things are being worked on even if they aren't out the day of an OS release or update.

Keep up the good work.

Re: Future of DeployStudio??

Not sure why people think that if there hasn't been a new update every 2 weeks that the development of DS has stopped.
There is only a need for a new version of DS when new hardware requires a new OS and that new OS can not be built with DS.

DS is not like an iOS app. You should not be expecting a new version every 2 weeks....

Re: Future of DeployStudio??

@hunty1 After reading my post again I can see how you might respond as you did. I'm not expecting constant updates of the app but I would like to see communication from the developers that indicate they are aware of problems and are working on them. As users we should also be providing regular feedback in the forums of issues so the developers know about them. If they don't know about an issue they can't fix it. I can't lay any came to being good about posting issues I run into with DS most of the time they get resolved fairly quickly with an update. DS is a good and stable product and most of the time it works flawlessly.
